Did you know that when you are reading a book of fiction that the amount of REAL TIME that could have elapsed between the writing of two consecutive sentences (or for that matter, two consecutive words in a paragraph) could be minutes or hours or days (or even years!!)? It's true. The author could have stopped mid-sentence, gotten up, walked around the room (or the country for that matter) before sitting back down to write again. Or that author could have suffered a painful episode of the infamous "writer's block" and rocked back in their chair and stared at the computer screen (or notebook paper) and been completely flummoxed for who knows how long about what to write next. And then there is just LIFE. It has the funny habit of getting in the way. Sometimes the best laid plans of mice and men get waylaid. My excuse is a wacky combination of all the above.

Can't wait to read it Ed! You've always been an excellent storyteller whether that be on a car ride telling Joni and I to "Get down or they'll see you!" or one of the many stories you would tell at any given time.
